Kalteva Company travelled to Vilnius in the end of the October 2015 to have a two week workshop to launch the rehearsals of the performance Home is Where. We experimented with stage and sound ideas and did interactivity tests with our kind audiences. For example we came up with idea of minuature house puppet and I built self-made instruments out of ventilation pipes, strings, cups, balloons and what have you. What else is home than the ultimate do-it-yourself experience?!
We rehearsed in exotic Baltas Loftas art venue next to the old Vilnius stadium! The venue was given to us by the Order of St. Casimir which we thanked by giving a workshop for a group of underpriviledged children. They loved to play with our instruments and drew and built their dream houses. In the end we performed 30 minutes demo for a special audience and talked about their experience with them over a cup of tea. It was great two weeks! Here's some snapshots of our time there:
